Serving our Community

We believe that while we should donate money to help those in need is important, serving the community does not just consist of money.  We should also go out and help people ourselves.  When able, we will post pictures of our community works here.

Deputy Grand Knight Bill Landry made a Coats For Kids presentation to bingo worker Gracia McGrath for her family members and for her students at Lewisville Middle School who are experiencing hard times.

While we realize the importance of helping the greater community, Knights are taught that charity begins at home.

Recently, members of the Ladies’ Auxiliary and wives of members from our council took the time to decorate our hall for Christmas.

We are blessed and honoured to have them help make our council beautiful for the season!

On November 11, Grand Knight Norm Gallant laid a wreath at the Sunny Brae Cenotaph on behalf of the council.

We look forward to taking part in this event every year. It is our honour to serve our community and our duty to remember the sacrifice of those who have served the cause of our freedom. Lest we ever forget!

On July 19, we held our annual Christmas in July Mini Bingo. We ahad a great spread and a good time was had by all!

On May 4th, many young people in our parish of Saint Bernard’s celebrated their first Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

Our council was delighted to provide rosaries for each child. May their Faith continue to grow and may God continue to guide them!

Council 1310 would like to thank the Canadian Wheelchair Foundation and the Knights of Columbus New Brunswick State Council for this wonderful honour! It is our mission to help our community in any way we can.  We will display this plaque at our council with pride!

As an Order, the Knights of Columbus are honoured to support our priests.  Here, Chancellor Kyle Laverty receives the blessing of newly-ordained Father Frank Quinn, a member of Council 1310.

We pray for Father Frank, that God would continue to Bless him as he enters into his priestly ministry!

Knights of Columbus also serve our council’s volunteer efforts by volunteering their talents outside of our council.  Here is Ignacio de Avila, a member of our council and the organist at Saint Lawrence O’Toole Parish.

Council 1310 would like to congratulate the Roy M. MacDonald Assembly on being awarded a Star Assembly Award! The Assembly meets regularly at Council 1310 and a number of Sir Knights in the Assembly are members of our council. Well deserved, gentlemen!

The youth of our Archdiocese attended the Steubenville Atlantic Conference in Halifax this weekend.

Thank God for the wonderful and life-changing weekend for the young people of the Church! May they continue grow in their love for the Lord!

A special thanks to Father Carlos Jacinto who helped organize our Archdiocese’s participation in this event!

On August 21, Brother Oscar LeBlanc and his wife Aurore celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary. Both are 96 and have spent nearly all their lives together.

We thank God for their long lives and love and would like to extend our congratulations and wish them many more years of happiness together!

On July 26, Millie LeBlanc, Past L\adies’ Auxiliary President, celebrated her 91st birthday. She is also the wife of Past Grand Knight Ron LeBlanc.

Ron and Millie’s contributions to the council over the years has been immense. We praise God for this milestone birthday and wish her many more years of happiness!

Past Grand Knight, Leo Bordage leads our council’s party to join the Remembrance Day Parade to the Sunny Brae Cenotaph. We are proud to remember our Veterans.

We were happy to see this brave little warrior at our last breakfast. Aliyah enjoyed breakfast with her mother, Natasha and her sister, Sarah. We’re honoured to support Aliyah and her family!

Deputy Grand Knight, on behalf of the Supreme Council, presents a plaque and an award of $500 to Grand Knight, Paul LeBlanc in recognition of Council 1310 donating over $2,500 to organizations who feed those in need. Our council is honoured to serve the community!

We would like to congratulate our sponsored baton twirlers on their success at their recent world competition.
Brianna Middleton won Gold in Junior A 3 Baton! She also won Bronze in Junior A Artistic Pairs with Mylene Bastarache.  Julie Allain placed 4th in Senior B 3 Baton and 7th in Senior 2 Baton!

Recently, our Council hosted a breakfast to support Baton Atlantik twirlers to journey to Croatia for a tournament. They sent us a thank you note and we are very happy to share their thanks! Good luck, ladies!

On Saturday, March 18, our Council hosted the 2nd Annual St. Michael’s Cub Scout Cub Kar Rally. It was great to see so many participants and it is a pleasure to host such a worthy organisation!
