
Each Council of the Knights of Columbus has a group of Officers that forms what is known as the Council’s Executive Committee and each Officer has a specific duty to their Council. Here are the current Officers of Council 1310:
Chaplain: Fr. Angus Johnson 
Faith Life. A Chaplain will provide prayers and wisdom in Scriptures and Church Tradition as it pertains to the Council and the membership. He will advise the Grand Knight when needed and will have a special relationship with the Chancellor, as to the Chancellor’s work with the spirituality of the Council.
Grand Knight: Norman Gallant 
The Grand Knight is the leader of the Council. Elected annually by the membership, the Grand Knight is to provide leadership and insight on all matters of the Council. His official duties include: presiding over Executive and Council meetings, appointing directors of committees, and ensuring all reports are delivered properly to the Supreme Council. He provides oversight to his Council and works with his Executive Committee to ensure everything runs smoothly at his Council.
Deputy Grand Knight: William Landry 
The Deputy Grand Knight is the second in command in the Council. He is also elected annually and assists the Grand Knight in the operation of Council affairs. In the absence of the Grand Knight, the Deputy Grand Knight presides at Council meetings and functions as the Grand Knight would.
Chancellor: Kyle Laverty 
The Chancellor is elected annually to serve the council in a variety of ways. He assists the Grand Knight and Deputy Grand Knight in the execution of their duties and takes charge of the council during the incapacity or extended absence of both. The Chancellor also acts as a link between the Church and the Council and should inspire the Council on matters of Faith and to help the members develop and maintain an active interest in their Council.
Recorder: Marcel Denis 
The Recorder is responsible for keeping a true record of all the actions of the Council and maintains all correspondence of the Council. He is charged with reminding the membership of previous meetings’ minutes, as well as being responsible for archiving and preserving the minutes from Council meetings for future use and reference.
Financial Secretary: Mike Gallant 
The Financial Secretary is not elected like other Officers, but is appointed by the Supreme Knight on the recommendation of the Council’s Grand Knight and Board of Trustees for a three year term. The Financial Secretary is responsible for being a link between his Council and the Supreme Council. He collects dues, makes sure the member roster is current, and that all applicable paperwork is submitted to the Supreme Council in a timely manner.
Treasurer: Leo Bordage 
The Treasurer is elected to handle all Council funds. He receives money from the Financial Secretary for Council matters. He is also responsible for depositing all money in the proper Council accounts and providing a voucher or certificate of deposit to the Grand Knight for each transaction. He also must keep an accurate record of the Council’s accounts and regularly provide reports on financial matters to the Grand Knight and Board of Trustees.
Lecturer: Charles Ouellet 
The Lecturer is appointed by the Grand Knight to provide suitable educational and entertaining programs under the “Good of the Order” section of the Council meeting. The “Good of the Order” may include presentations on special topics or similar selections. The Lecturer must be knowledgeable of all aspects of Council programming in order to provide members with informative and entertaining programs.
Advocate: Jean Cormier 
The Advocate is the parliamentarian for the Council. He need not be a member of the legal profession; however, he should be thoroughly familiar with all of the Laws of the Order as stated in the “Charter, Constitution and Laws’’ and with the Council by-laws. When a by-law is to be revised, the Advocate serves as chairman of the revision committee. In matters where a member of the Council is to stand trial, the Advocate shall prosecute the charges on behalf of the Council.
Warden: Rick Cormier 
The Warden is responsible for supervising and maintaining all Council property, except that which belongs to the Financial Secretary. He sets up the Council Chambers for meetings and Degrees and appoints and supervises Guards for Ceremonial Exemplifications. The Warden should also oversee the Inside and Outside Guards to make sure they are fulfilling their duties.
Inside Guard: Rheal Landry 
Outside Guards: Gerry Melanson, Tom Melanson 


The Inside and Outside Guards have different functions. The Outside Guard guard the outside of the Council Chamber, while the Inside Guard should make certain that only members are allowed to enter the Chamber by checking membership cards.
Trustees: Mike McKendrick, John Strong & Greg Fennell
The Board of Trustees consists of the Grand Knight and three members elected by the Council. Trustees supervise all financial business of the Council. They serve as auditors for the semi-annual audits and oversee the work of the Financial Secretary and Treasurer. The Grand Knight is the Chairman of the Board. Trustees are elected for terms of three years, two years and one year. At each regular election, the position of each trustee will be voted upon, and the current three and two year trustees move on to become two and one year trustees, respectively.
District Deputy: Joseph Cormier 
The District Deputy oversees the councils within his district. He acts as a link between a council’s Grand Knight and the State Council. He serves his councils by providing insight and helping each council set goals for each new Fraternal Year. He also regularly attends meetings and Exemplifications to meet and encourage members. As the deputy for District 10, he oversees Council 1310 as one of the councils in his care.
