From time to time, both on important calendar dates and important dates within the Knights of Columbus, our Grand Knight will offer a message of a thought for that day. It will be our pleasure to make that message available in this section.

As we move into Lent, we have to acknowledge that for many, this is not a popular time of year. Fasting and doing without are not joyful activities. This time of year, however, is the crux of our Faith – to be willing to pick up our cross and follow Jesus with our lives.
While it is a tradition to “give something up for Lent”, it is also important that we use this time to draw closer to God. This season of Lent is ultimately about preparing ourselves spiritually and emotionally to welcome the Risen Christ at Easter.
I hope all of our members, their families and all who read this will take this Lenten Season as a time to pray more, study the Lord’s Word and find ways of drawing closer to God.
Blessings,
Norm Gallant, Grand Knight
